Ranveer Singh and team to head to Mohali for boot camp training before kickstarting the first schedule of ’83

The shooting of Ranveer Singh’s ’83 has not even started and is already garnering hype among the masses due to its inspiring and heroic plot India’s historic cricket win in 1983. While the first schedule of the film is set to begin April, Ranveer and other cast including Sahil Khattar (plays Syed Kirmani), Jiiva (plays Kris Srikanth), Ammy Virk (Balwinder Singh Sandhu) will head to Mohali before that for the boot night cricket camp training. The makers are going all out to make ’83 a flawless biographical sports drama.

Cricketers like Kapil Dev, Madan Lal and Yashpal Sharma along with Ranji Trophy players will be part of this camp to help the actors to improve their technique and give their valuable inputs. The film’s other cast members have been locked too and will be unveiled one by one.

The film is directed by Kabir Khan, who has previously helmed films like New York, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight. Presented by Reliance Entertainment, ‘83, directed by Kabir Khan, will see Ranveer playing Kapil Dev. The film is inspired by Team India’s first World Cup win.
