A new poster of the film has been unveiled today which features Bhumi, Sushant and Manoj Bajpayee in their rugged avatars. The makers will be releasing the trailer tomorrow and this intriguing poster has left the fans excited.
The first look of Bhumi from the film was released on April 4, 2018, where she looked deadly in a saree and carried a rifle in her arm. This rustic look of hers intrigued the audience and ever since everyone has been waiting for the movie’s update. A fresh poster of the film is out and this time we get a glimpse of Bhumi, Sushant and Manoj Bajpayee in their daring avatar. Both Sushant and Bhumi took to their Instagram handle to share the poster with the same caption. The caption read, “गोलियों, बाग़ियों aur बैरियों ke शहर, चम्बल ki कहानी lekar aa raha (Story of Chambal – a city of guns, rebelliousness and antagonists)”.
In the film, Bhumi will be essaying the role of a desi woman from the 1970s Chambal valley. According to reports, the actress spent a few weeks prepping for her role, where she learnt the Bundelkhandi dialect while interacting with the local women and also picking up their mannerisms.
Bhumi started her career in Bollywood with Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) with another versatile actor Ayushmann Khurrana. In the film, she played the role of an overweight intelligent girl who got married to an unemployed small town boy. Her performance was acclaimed and was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Son Chiriyais all set to release on February 8, 2019.
